Camp Unity

Being your own HERO!

Camp Unity was created from lived experience, compassion, and the belief that even the smallest acts of kindness can create real change. Inspired by my own discovery of self-acceptance through being introduced to the Juggalo culture, this group was created to set a tone for bringing everyone together.  It's a diverse group that exists for anyone who has ever felt pushed aside by life… anyone searching for connection, balance, or a reminder that every life matters. Those who are open conceptually to others' views and beliefs and at a minimum make an everyday effort to respect each other's places in our own individual journeys. We take being a safe space for others pretty seriously!

Rooted in community action and leading by example, Camp Unity focuses on doing good for others while encouraging personal growth, self-love, and inner strength. Here, unity isn’t just a word…it’s a practice. By shining our light outward, we help restore balance within ourselves and those around us.

Camp Unity is proud to have organized and supported meaningful community initiatives, including Pass the Plate and the Pop the Trunk Sweater Drive, both created to meet real needs through collective effort and generosity. These events reflect the heart of Camp Unity…people coming together to help people.

In addition, Camp Unity has supported Team Positive Vibes in the Suffolk Out of the Darkness Walk, benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). This cause holds deep personal meaning. The loss of a beloved grandmother brought awareness to a reality that is often left unspoken…elderly suicide. This experience unfolded for Allie Maye during a profound season of self-love, healing, and life lessons, shaping both the mission and the soul of Camp Unity.

From that journey came a logo, a purpose, and a promise…Camp Unity is for all. It is an intentionally safe space where being your own hero matters, where compassion leads, and where love is always louder than hate.

Together, every small act matters.

Together, Allie Maye-N-iacs lead with...

Love…not hate y’all. 🫶

🫶 2025 Camp Unity Events 🫶

1st Annual Pass the Plate & Popp the Trunk

This event is was so much fun. Allie Maye got to meet and connect with people that get overlooked a lot. We took pride in being able to warm someone's day a little bit, that may have otherwise been cold. Love NOT hate yall. 🫶

We drove up and down Virginia Beach Blvd to leave a few sweaters on the bus stop benches. Our hearts felt so full when we drove back by to see several people wearing them💜

Not only did we hand them out to many individuals found in some well known spots, we also found the option of leaving the sweaters on the bushes by the local Homeless Shelter to encourage people to grab their favorite option as they came in to get a warm meal for the day.

Another round of dropping off some sweaters and jackets of all sizes at the local Homeless Shelter.

This event was a moment to spread some love to people who may not have a home cooked meal during the holidays season. We collectively worked with the Samaritan House of Virginia Beach to deliver meals to feed 30 different families.

AFSP - Suffolk Out of the Darkness Walk

This is a group photo of all the Team Leaders for those who lead our Walk out of Darkness event for AFSP. Each person got up on stage and shared their personal journeys. A part of their lives that hurts to talk about, but is being done to connect and bring hope to those that are still here with us. Every day we have an option... and these people choose to live in HOPE!

A mirror of inspiration. Such a clever way for people to make a positive impact. Leaving some words of encouragement could make the difference for someone one day. Every small act makes a difference. 💜

I had the pleasure of working with a Team called Positive Vibes, out of Suffolk Virginia. This group is lovingly run by two of the sweetest people, John and Alisha Carr. This was our group picture. This event meant a lot to me in honor of my grandma. I almost chose not to sing because I was getting over a sinus/respiratory infection. But I couldn't imagine backing down just because I was scared of what others would think. I was doing it for her, in honor of all of her troubles she went through. She will always be an inspiration to my journey. When it hit homes, it all the sudden mattered and I wished I would have joined the cause sooner. And I want to let people know they are not alone. Love not hate y'all.
