⏰ "Wake Up" came out on all platforms on Friday 5/15… and I couldn’t bring myself to make my release post. Not because it didn’t matter… but because sometimes self-sabotage shows up quietly. And dealing with the death of another grandma was just icing on the cake for what I was already going through.
Dressed as hesitation… doubt…overthinking on repeat... convincing yourself to stay small to blend in... or the feeling of just being too tired to even explain yourself, again. 🙃
After sitting with myself through my pains (as I have learned to do so many times before) … I saw that there’s still a purpose. We all have the option to learn through our challenges. Life gives you lessons or blessings, and either way is an opportunity to grow. It's important to look at the polar opposites in all matters of life, no matter which side you are given.
This song reminds us that our meaning doesn’t live in perfection or productivity… it lives within our soul… waiting for us to listen without the noise or distractions. Waiting for us to say, " Enough is enough". While also allowing ourselves grace through our journeys of self-discovery. Repeating cycles can slowly wear you down once you see them. We are not alone in these moments. We’re all moving through our own version of cycles… learning as we go… "waking up" in our own time. So many of us carry this heaviness silently. 🤐 Today I stand up for this truth! If you’ve ever felt stuck in the loop… disconnected… or just trying to get through the day… this song is for you! If this song makes you feel something, please don't hesitate to hit the like button on YouTube. As always, all likes and shares are greatly appreciated. Love not hate ya'll!" 💜
Big thank you to Richie Rich Porter and Khizman Ricks for helping make this one become a reality. All the loves!
